I'm so exhilarated by that last minute winner that I almost feel guilty about being honest about what was, at best, a lacklustre performance.

We were A for average. One of the things that we can take away from this is that one of the teams we are meant to be worried about this season were significantly worse than us and they were playing at home.

Until the sending off they were edging it for clear cut chances, though you got the impression that we might just nick something on the break. Losing Crowe early on certainly meant we lost a certain something going forward, though I think Bromby is a better defender. Lubo again came on and looked like the player we knew from that loan spell in the Championship. That's been one of my biggest and most welcome surprises of this season.

Second half MK Dons were a disgrace really. Their time wasting was incredible. 1 to 11 including Ince on the bench. One point he held on to the ball like a little boy in a playground to rousing chants of Scum Scum Scum. Their foward impetus was nil and we found ourselves facing a bank of 3 and a bank of 6 players in front of their goals and we were, frankly, rather clueless.

We had chances, but Abbey in their goal actually wasn't really forced into a save. Backford was under-par and Grella looked a touch lightweight. Against centre-halves like they had we really missed Becchio's muscle.

I do like Grayson's willingness to change things. When he realised that MK had given up any thoughts of winning the game he brought Hughes off and brought Robinson on. Moving Johnson back gave us much more going forward down that side. Not that Robinson did a great deal, but no massive surprise that when the goal came it came from over there.

Simple cross-and-header goal and with hindsight I think their keeper could have done better. Like I give a f*ck.  Laughing  Celebrated like it was 1999.

Good or bad, the only team that tried to win the game did so, and that'll do me nicely.

Summed it up perfectly DP, I didn't think we showed much up front and Beckford looked lost at times with no headers been won by Becchio. Grella showed neat feet, but at lot of our play was into our forward line with their backs to goal.

The back four were all solid, but were not tested after half time. Bromby did well at right back but offered nothing in an attacking sense.

In the end perserverance (sp?) paid off and we grabbed the winner from what looked like a free header, I was too busy bouncing and hugging everyone in sight that I didn't realise who had scored it!

I ended up going 36 hours without sleep yesterday and was pissed as a fart, well worth it, even if I did think I was going to collapse at the end! Where did that bloody sunshine come from, it was roasting!  Cool

Midfield were okay. No more, no less. It was tight in there and they battled away but there was a lack of creativity for most of the game and as they got more frustrated and desperate the passes started to be rushed, or longer range, and lacked any real incisiveness or accuracy.
