bloody hell had to get up at 6.30 for this I didn't know there were two 6.30s on a Saturday worth it though the seagulls bus provided the transport (thanks Joe) with a pub stop in the bull in braintree
well another game we deserved to win a tougher test than the trannys provided and perhaps more of an indication of how we will do this season
if this was a test then we passed the first half was a battle but we were solid at the back fought in the middle and our class up front is self evident
a special mention today for the ref who was complete shit one of the only decisions he got right was the pen
Higgs - 7 some great saves, streets ahead of casper.
Crowe . 6.5 good going forward get caught out of position occasionally
Rui - 6 Gave away yet another penalty, and beginning to look nervous
Kisnorbo - 9 brilliant, unbeaten all day if he wasn't for naylors absence. we would be impenetrable
Hughes -6 OK,
Snodgrass - 7 Coming back to where he was last year, somethings worked, others didn't.
Howson - 7 I thought Johnny had a very good game, distributed well and battled all day
Doyle - 6 Didn't see much of him, though this partnership is blossoming he did the ugly thing necessary
Johnson -8 Good game gave their right back a hard time
Becchio - 7 Worked hard and held the ball up well, i seem to write this every report
Beckford - 7 Seemed up for it, did the business though, and saw him a little deeper at times
Subs
Prutton - 6 fitted in well , even if not a first team player.
Showunmi - 6 looked good, came on to hold the ball,
Lubo - No time.
despite the pressure they had in spells i never really thought we would concede until rui's feck up
but what impressed me most was after the pen it would of been so easy to let our heads drop or settle for a draw IT DIDNT HAPPEN
somehow i feel grayson wont allow this to happen this season and we quickly got back on top
a good day out now this is a first for me I'm sure i thought the bill treated us well today

Agree with the above, although I thought Hughes was pants!
I was dead when I got home last night, 480 mile trip for 90 minutes... would I do it all again today, of course! It was brilliant!
Great weather, great atmosphere and banter between the two Leeds stands and most importantly three points! |

Good report mate!
I think Kisnorbo is going to be a suprise this season. I was sceptical at first, wondered why we'd bothered bringing in a Leicester reject, but it looks like he's got quaility and great awareness.
