Wycombe vs LeedsGame of two halfs really. First half was very poor and we looked off the pace and were unable to string two passes together. They had a big lad up front who gave Rui a few problems early on and they generally passed the ball better then us. We seemed to lack width and and real penetration in the final third.
The second half tho was much improved and we looked a different team, obviously Sg had said something at HT. Thought we completly controlled the game and should have had a few more. Doyle and Howson got hold of the ball and used it well keeping hold of it until an opportunity emerged. Thought Crowe got forward really well and looked a threat all second Half. Rui and Kisnorvo looked stronger and dealt with thier forwards much better, which eventually lead to them subbing one of them. In terms of marks to the performance
First half 4
Second half 8
Higgs- 9 Brilliant, refreshing to see our keeper been able to kick in a straight line and come for crosses. Only missed one ball all day and made several impressive catches from crosses, makes such a big difference. Also made one fine save towards to end with more or less thier only effort of the second half.
Crowe-7, First half was poor, but second half was brilliant going forward. Sure his defensive abilities will be tested in future games, see how he responds.
Rui 6- Struggled early on and dint win a header, but seemed to get to grips with the forwards as the game progressed, distribution is still poor.
Kisnorbo 7- Similar to Rui but slighty more solid.
Hughes 7- Cant fault Hughes for his effort, everyone knows that, think considering he's a CM he did a good job at LB with not a lot of help from BJ.
Snoddy6- Probably not his best game of the season, but kept trying and alwasys works hard and did shine more as the game went on and space opened up.
Doyle 8- Thought he was brilliant second half, him and howson jumped on any lose ball and shifted them out wide or forward
Howson 8- same as above.
BJ- 5- Still not impressed with him and i think if Robbo was half the player we thought we had signed he would be starting. Only area that still concersn me.
Beckford 8- Must say, as most know i'm not a fan of Beckford but yesterday thought he was very good. Apart from his usual arguing with ref and geting booked he had a fine game. First touch was much better, movement and awareness was impressive and could have had 3 goals, two of which he created himself. Kept coming deep to pick up the ball tho, would prefer it if he stayed where he is a threat in thier half.
Becchio 7- Sturggled first half like the whole team but second half held the ball up much better and scored the winning goal. Love his workrate, even gives me a semi at times when he chases the ball down in the corner.

Like Exeter game then in that we played well in one half and shit in the other. Exeter was first half though - if we could just do it for 90 mins we'd rip teams apart. Wins is Wins though!!!
Glad crowe looked better 2nd half from what i saw of highlights (not alot to go on) his crosses looked a bit shite though o those occasions he was given space down the flank, and on another occasion looked like he should have shot rather than pull it back.

Great Read as ever Del,get feeling we,l get a left winger in by end of month,Taylor of Oldham maybe....
Yeah sounded poor 1st half, lot better 2nd,been story of our season so far, good in one half, poor in other, main thing is we havent hit top gear yet but are winning games and keeping it tight at back, have much more confidence now with our defence,it should get better once naylor returns....
Also more season goes on,imo better we,l get,i have faith in Grayson and what he,s doin @ club his record here so far is Very impressive,we don,t lose or draw many, which is a great sign......
