UEFA make me sick...Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

So he didn't dive? What a steaming pile of...
I'm afraid, dear sirs, our game is riddled with cheats and spineless leaders who are too scared to do anything about it.
Football should be hanging its head in shame about this. Arsenal and UEFA shame on you.

I despise the top order of football at the moment.
Have a read of this - this is what football should be - http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfl...r_and_stockport_an_ex.html#138740

I really wish the authorities would stamp out the cheating in football, it really makes my blood boil.
I think it's time players served at least a 2 game ban for ANY dive. Be it in the penalty box, or not!
For me, EVERY decision alters the path of the game, A dive 30yrd out near the touchline can still result in a goal and that is as much a sin as a dive in the box.
Every game should be reviewed afterwards and a dive should be punished. It would soon end the disgraceful acts of some of the so-called stars. They can move their feet so fast you can hardly see them, yet ask them to stay on them if someone breaths on them too hard and it's an impossible task.
That said, i did feel sorry for Eduardo, yes he dived and yes it's wrong, but he was singled out. And that for me was the first crime. The second crime was to go back on the decision. Instead they should have stood by it AND ban ALL the other players who dived in that qualiying round too!
Does anybody else think that all the things UEFA are doing now are to hinder English teams in Europe.
Is it a coincidence that all these clubs claiming wrong doings regards young player transfers are French, mmmm, Platini? I smell a fish........and frogs legs.
It goes on, EVERY club tempts other teams players at a young age, without exception. Barcalona do it, Real Madrid do it, AC MIlan do it, Bayern Munich do it, even FRENCH teams do it. But hey, THEY aren't on Blatters agenda! True?

I agree, but other wise they'd be banning people every week - every time someone went over a bit easy fans would be calling for bans.
Games gone soft thats the problem, you wouldn't be getting all this if cards etc werent dished out so easy these days!

You're right Imre, the game, especially at the top level is as much about theatrics as it is football. Gone are the days of 'trying' to stay on your feet, it's now a case of 'trying' to simulate a foul. Sad aint it.
I hear what your saying about players getting banned ever week. But hey, they'll soon learn. it would take a month or 2 of the reserve team getting a first team game before the managers start to 'teach' them how to stay on their feet again instead of 'teaching' them to dive. That or the fans won't go to watch the reserves anymore and vote with their feet.
Something needs doing, it's getting silly.

UEFA have been inept in so many ways... but by banning a player for 2 games they could have allowed themselves to set a precedent. It would have been harsh on Eduardo but you have to start somewhere. But if they weren't prepared to follow it through they shouldn't have bothered.
Some sort of conspiracy against the English clubs? I don't buy that for minute.
