some might say we pay premiership prices...you hear fans all the time giving it the old 'we're paying premiership prices for league one football', but was talking to my spurs supporting mate today who paid £65 for his ticket at the weekend!!! fooking crazy prices!!

Well considering you pay €50-€75 for a ticket into croke park!!!
The most I ever paid for a ticket into Elland road was £25 which was about €30.
How much is it to go see an international match in the UK? For Irish Internationals its €50 for the cheapest ticket. the Italy and montenagro matches you had to buy tickets for both matches and it was €100-170!!! Crazy money for poor football imo!

Reckon were on a par with blackburn .bolton, wigan, fulham etc, still prem clubs but nowhere near the top boys in terms of pricing...

I was looking at this a while ago when I was buying my season ticket.
These are the cheapest adult season tickets, mine was £475 in the Kop (our cheapest) this year, so just at a glance;
Man Utd £513
Liverpool £476
Blackburn £199
Wigan £250
Couldn't find Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal's ST info. But we are paying top prices. It is baffling that you could be in the Anfield Kop for a season for £1 more than the Elland Road Kop. I appreciate that we have more games, but still.

We're they new customer prices or renewal?
You were obviously a new customer as I renewed for £400 in the Kop. £17 a game, nothing wrong if you ask me, you should get that benefit next season. Saying that £20 per game is not that bad if you think about it.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what other clubs charge, as I only want to watch Leeds.

I'm not complaining, I'm just stating fact. We pay top Premier League prices to watch 3rd Division football. Oh, and they were new customer prices.

errrrm as per my original post - obviously not as i've never paid £65 to watch leeds play.
Anyway by the time we are back in the prem it will probably be £100 a game.

But as has been said; that was London prices, tickets for Man Utd games go for about £37ish upwards I think, and City area bit cheaper. I'm using Man Utd as "the top" here as they're the champions/dominant team and a northern team. Also I was talking about season tickets as opposed to single match tickets.

Knew me saying £65 to watch some football being high would turn into an anti uncle kenneth thread...booooooorrrrrring!!
It's £10 a game to go watch Fleetwood Town play in the conference north (first team i looked at some are probably more) - yeovil tickets at weekend £15 - we're playing conference north prices for league one football!!! All depends how ya spin it ya see!
Back to the original point £65 is scandalous and makes me shudder to think how much prem footy will cost when (if) we get back there.

Haha, I wasn't trying to bash him per se, just wanted to clear up Sniffer's thoughts that we pay lower Prem prices. Anyway, I want us back up there asap, and I also dread to think how expensive it might get, however we must put money into the club to drive it forward, and at the moment with Grayson in charge of the pitch side we look like that's where we're going, or at least that's the direction we're going.
