Leeds v Leyton Orient Match RatingsLucas - 6 - Not a lot to do considering, made a couple of decent blocks, when the ball should have never got that far. Slow with his distribution that could have led to counter attacks.
Parker - 6 - Looks decent when he gets forward, as per usual was left exposed on the left and had to deal with two players the majority of the time. Did okay.
Telfer - 6 - Has a calming influence on the defence, put his passing was poor last night and he was possibly at fault for the first, should have hoofed it into the stands, definitely need to keep him fit.
Lubo - 6 - Looked more composed along side Telfer and won most things in the air.
Richardson - 7 - Good performance from the captain, worked the line well and was putting some good balls into the box. Great cross for Becchio's second.
Delph - 7 - Another solid performance from the youngster, one of the only midfielders looking to make things happen and go forward.
Douglas - 7 - Protected the back four well, solid in the middle and allowed the other midfielders to push on, they just decided not to.
Kilkenny - 6 - Was playing sideways football at its best last night, its all good keeping possession but we'd keep it and then lose it without moving anywhere, which Kilkenny was at fault for numerous times.
Howson - 6 - Looked fairly lost in the first half when out on the right wing, however he came into the game more in the second half as he drifted into the centre, which allowed Richardson to come forward.
Beckford - 7 - The poor lad gets a 7 for his effort, he slipped for the penalty, hit the cross bar, hit the post twice and the keeper pulled off a wonder save! Also it was hilarious when LO scored and as soon as they stopped celebrating and got into their own half, he kicked off and ran with the ball, he managed to get to about 25 yards out before the referee pulled him back and made him take the kick off properly.
Becchio - 8 - MOM again. Quality stuff from the Argie. I'm also giving him two goals as I couldn't see who got the final touch on his first. Won everything in the air and the floor and linked up well with the midfield when they decided to go forward.
Overall, it was quite painful to watch (those who went will know what I mean). LO were woeful but we gifted them the lead, which led to the crowd getting a little agitated, which led to two goals. In the second half our defence sat around 25 yards out from goal and passed it to eachother or Kilkenny for a few minutes and then would give it away for no reason what so ever, to be fair to LO they pressured the ball well, but we should have had the quality to deal with it. Meanwhile at the other end Beckford was doing everything possible to score, and we did create numerous other chances. On one hand you can't complain with a win, on another hand we could have drawn or lost and on a third hand we could have won by 5 or more goals. The game was crying out for Andy Robinson to come on and do something, Macca finally gave in with after Robbo's name was sung for a good 10 minutes... he came on with 2 minutes to go. Pointless.

pretty much agree with LM s ratings except
killkenny no more than a 5 for me he stopped every movement forward and made 1 successful chalange all night and only started to run after the kop spent 10 mins demanding robbo on
we all rightly keep pointing out errors of the back 4 but with only douggie making tackles in mid field we are getting over run in there putting them under constant pressure
on another night beckford would have had a hat trick and that would of disguised the fact that a poor side (LO) looked threatening when they were in possesion and in all our attacks we had 4 midfielders on one side or the other of the pitch had they had someone who could hit a decent cross field pass we would have been screwed
also think lucas should have saved there goal it dribbled in
strange night at ER we came away with a win but it didnt feel like it was

I don't understand why Macca was so pleased, it was nothing to get overjoyed about. Unfortunately I expect the same side on Saturday.
