Leeds v HerefordIn form Leeds against bottom of the league Hereford, the sun is shining, everyone is happy and we're hoping for a 3 goal plus win, what happened, well to be fair we actually played very well, it was just their god damn keeper that saved everything that was thrown at him. For the goal he pulls off a point blank save from Becchio, god knows how and Robinson was in the right place at the right time to nod it past the helpless keeper and a couple of defenders on the line.
Lucas - 7 - Nothing to do, claimed a few crosses well. Clean sheet again.
White - 8 - Going forward, defending, heading, passing, I really do think this guy is going to be a fantastic player!
Telfer - 7 - Assured performance at the back, hit some wayward passes in the first half but looked solid throughout.
Rui - 7 - Typical Rui like display, vital touch when they had a player through on goal in the final minute.
Richardson - 7 - Didn't get forward as much as he normally does, but I don't recall him, messing up any passes or poor control. A solid captains performance.
Robinson - 8 - Ran his socks off, but was getting a little frustrated before the goal, not everyone was on the same wavelength as him, but he knows where the back of the net is (thank god someone did today!)
Douglas - 7 - The dirty dog in midfield, kept us ticking over and even had a couple of surges forward. Definitely in the form of his life.
Delph - 8 - England call up only round the corner surely?! His skill and composure on the ball is breath taking, a real star already.
Howson - 7 - Pushed forward well, but as we seem to comment too often, he went missing for spells.
Beckford - 7 - Macca made one mistake today, BECKFORD IS NOT A WINGER! He hasn't scored 11 goals out wide, get him upfront! Saying that he could have had 5 himself today, bad finishing and a mix of quality goal keeping.
Becchio - 8 - Led the line superbly, and deserved a goal himself, chased everything down and held the ball up well, just as we've already come to expect.
Only one MOM and that went to their keeper, if you didn't see my comment in the match thread, we were singing "0-0 it's your keepers fault" and at the end of the match, fans from the Kop called him over and shook his hand, he was the last player to leave the pitch and got a pleasant and well deserved round of applause. If it wasn't for him we would have been close to double figures - seriously.
Roll on Peterborough...

So was I, but I think it was the perfect game to give him and Delph a start in the middle together (we played 4-1-4-1). Don't think Howson would have coped against better players.
