Jay on Crewe.(home)Finally, the first home win of the season.
With 5 points from 4 the opening of the season looked rather bleak.
Untill today.
Despite romoured speculation the game wasn't called off and Leeds got off to a flyer,
Leeds were the first to make a real effort but Crewe responded straight away.
The early stages saw a lot of end to end football with posession 50/50.
The first real chance of the game came from Hughesy, who had a header cleared off the line.
Shortly followed by a one-on-one between Beckford and the Crewe keeper.
The shot from Becks was parried away and Becchio couldn't convert from the 6 yard box.
But then we broke the deadlock with an exquisite goal from the youngster Delph.
Delph, from 30 yards out, struck the ball with ease and watched as his shot bounce into the bottom right hand corner of the net.
I don't think I've seen a Leeds player celebrate so much as he did.
10 minutes later it was 2-0 with a screamer from the Irish left-back.
The shot, again from 30 yards was a contender for goal of the month as it found its way into the top left hand corner.
Becchio could have made it 3 or 4-0 as he had 2 headers before the interval, one tipped just over the bar.
I then went for my half-time pie, but we wont go into that
Straight from the off, It was 3-0 as Douglas met the ball outside the area and created another great goal for Leeds.
Leeds went close with Beckford and Lubo before Gary Mac brought Howson and Robinson on for Hughes and Kilkenny.
Robinson acted immediately as he supplied the cross for Beckford, which he converted to make 4-0 with a sweet header.
Robinson himself came close as he attempted to chip the ball over Collis but the ball hit the crossbar.
But he was rewarded when he curled the ball around the keeper to put Leeds 5-0 up.
A silly moment for Leeds near the end as Lubo pulled on the shirt of the last man and was given his 2nd yellow.
Leeds then conceded 2 silly goals.
All in all its a vast improvement on Oldham, Yeovil and Bristol.

Says alot.
Lucas - 6 - Could have done better with the two goals.
Frazer - 7 - Brilliant in defence. Battled for every ball.
Telfer - 8 - Wonderful, Very impressive for a 60-odd year old , won the ball everytime.
Lubo - 6 - Only thing disapointing was the red card. Battled well in the air as usual and won all 50/50 balls.
Sheehan - 8 - Brilliant goal, shut the door on Crewe's attackers.
Hughes - 7 - Suprised he got back in the team but more suprised he played a very good game.
Kilkenny - 7 - Same as always, scared to shoot on goal but passed well and threatened constantly
Delph - 9 (my MOM) - Fuck me this guy is ace. Great goal, Great performance, Great all round. Dominated in the middle and got back to defend every time.
Douglas - 8 - Same as Delph. Excellent movement and passing.
Beckford - 8 - More active today. Lots of flair and agility. Should have converted more.
Becchio - 7 - Had better games. Few good chances and battled well attacking and defending.
Robinson - 8 (even though he played for around 20 mins) - Fat git's a hit! He's finally coming out of his shell and playing like he did for the jack bastards. Fair play.
Howson - 7 - Same old howson, 50/50 on everything, few chances but didn't preform like we know he can.
Snodgrass - 7 - Came on for Becchio and looked threatening from the start.

Yeah but Crewe's two goals on the score sheet makes it look like they actually played some football.
Which they didn't as we didn't give them chance.
