Jay on Carlisle/match goals(away)At the end of the day, the better team won.Neither team showed real class like we know us and Carlisle can, But Leeds were by far the stronger team. Carlisle put a lot of pressure on Leeds in the first 5-15 mins but we dealt with it well, After that it was end-to-end football untill Becchio scored. I suppose you could say it was a poachers goal/right place right time goal, but we still had the lead. We all remember what happened last season when we went 1-0 up at Brunton Park, But it wasn't to happen today. Leeds were the dominant force throughout the 2nd half, Aidy White proving to be a very good player, winning every ball. Richardson looking good in patches but Kilkenny looking dreadful. But on 75 mins approx it was non-stop attack from Carlisle, God I was shitting myself! Attack after attack, but on the counter attack, a good run from Snoddy and a clear connection from Beckford, we snatched the win. Many would have been happy with a draw today, but we got more than we bargained for. Lucas- 8 - Did very well to get out first clean sheet of the season in the league, epecially toward the end White - 8 - Very classy and skilfull play from the 16 year old, Won every ball and was a pleasure to watch Marques - 6 - Not his greates of games and was off the pace today. Telfer - 7 - Usual performance, excellent with 50/50 balls and rarely lost any Richardson - 5 1/2 - Dreadful performance imo, worst of the season for him, everything was half-hearted and didn't make the runs/crosses he is capeable of, came close with a shot outside the area though, lobbing the keeper and hitting the crossbar Hughes - 7 1/2 - Did the job well on the day, played better at LB after White was brought off, not that good in the air but made the passes and space we needed. Kilkenny - 5 - Worst player on the pitch today, absolutley shite. Minimum effort, crap passing, ran around the centre circle all game, like playing with 10 men Douglas - 8 - Played great today, had to do the role of 2 men today as Kilkenny was nowhere, dealt with the opposition well, tidy passing and pin-point precision Delph - 7 - Not the usual Delph were used to, very quiet but still showed class and creativity Becchio - 8 - Battled for every ball in the air and never gave in. 2nd league goal and he deserves more than just the 2 Beckford - 8 - Too many wasted chances as usual but still manages to come out on top http://www.truveo.com/Leeds-UTD-vs-Carlisle21st-Sep-2008/id/4124326279 Goals from game...... |

And what are your thoughts on the match report Lmao. Proper shithole. Ive noticed that all the grounds i've been to this season all seem to keep their training goalposts somewhere in the stands. The area around is quite nice and theres some fine Pigs
