football todaya friend of mine who is based in leeds said to me recently
that its when he goes to places like brighton,cheltenham etc,he feels like a real football fan again,
at the top level game is totally ruined by greedy players,corrupt agents,
sky tv,
players now see themselves as untouchable,
happy days when football was the working mans game, 3pm saturday,
now its totally at the mercy of sky,
i long for the old days of muddy pitches,total effort,good solid challenges,
when all is said and done when the money men have walked away
the genuine fan will still be there

Spot on mate!! The game of football is rubbish these days, i only still take an interest because of Leeds United!

yep used to love going to watch the football on a saturday afternoon and paying at the turnstiles and then standing on the terraces to watch the games.football is all about the money these days some may say its better but
i preferred the 80's when i went regularly and you always knew you were playing at 3pm on a saturday afternoon.
